BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur on Jan 12th 2016 lined out the probability of an Indo-Pak two-sided series asserting that no such series is arranged in Outlooks Tours & Programme (FTP) calendar.
“In the FTP, we took a series scheduled in 2015 but there is no series scheduled in 2016 against Pakistan. In Asia Cup India will be playing against Pak and the World T20 meanwhile they are international tournaments. And India has been playing them for several years,” Thakur told the media.
There Is No Indo-Pak series scheduled in 2016 Said By Anurag Thakur
After the limited-overs sequence planned to be held last month did not arise through, Pakistan Cricket Board had expressed confidence that a two-sided series could occur this year, may be in the United Kingdom.
Previous year, a high-profile planned two-sided series among India-Pakistan was predictable to take place in the month of December. But it ultimately failed to turn up as both the governments couldn’t be able to come on the similar page.
The scheduled series had continued in limbo for a long time with slight improvement made in the previous couple of months.
Thakur had said in last month, that it would be tough to organize the series, assumed the small space ahead of India’s limited-overs tour of Australia, which initiated today with the first ODI in Perth.
